Credit Cardholders’ Bill of Rights Act of 2009
Finally the Federal Government is doing something for the average consumer. Unfortunately this bill does not go into effect until February 2010. Under this bill, credit card companies will no longer be able to arbitrarily change the terms of your credit card agreement, hike interest rates without proper notification & cause, charge unfair late fees and issue credit cards to minors without parental consent.
